Meet Megan carroll, the creative soul behind it all
Based in The twin cities suburbs
photographing, baking, & making, with a cottage flair
Megan is excited to be jumping into the cottage journey, she is a food photographer and recipe developer, however, when AI became a readily available tool, many food photographers saw a huge drop in business, Megan was one of these photographers. So Megan made a pivot (cue Ross and the couch) and after some soul searching created The Kindred Cottage. Her vision of having a small old school peddlers cart filled with delicious grandma style baked goods and awesome handmade beauty products and decor came to fruition.
Megan spent the spring of 2025 building from scratch the "cottage". If you've ever seen the cottage you know that it transports you to a whole new world. The reclaimed antique porch posts, the lovingly hand cut wooden shake roof, and every intricate detail forms a unique experience that you have to see in person to fully understand. Megan is a bright and creative old soul. She loves nothing more than to share her tips and tricks with others.
